Tagged

I was reading Camille Bunkers Blog and saw the 4x4 tag, so like her I thought I would partcipate. You go to the 4th file in your pictures and choose the 4th picture to post. This is what I found. A picture of Scott holding Maile at Cole's wedding. She was so little. Time flys!

A Visit From G&G Bones

Last weekend my mom and dad decide to come for a quick visit to see us. They really didn't come to see US, they came to see Evan. My mom has been dying to see Evan walk. He has been walking for about 4 weeks now. He is doing pretty good, although his steps are still like stomps. Its a whole new world for him, and I know he loves it. He never wants to be held and always wants down to roam around. He is a busy boy and his curiosity is fine with me until it comes to church. We can't even stay at church past Sacrament because he freaks out when we go to class in the tiny rooms. I guess the lord or maybe the ward decided they could help us with our problem. They called me to be a nursery leader so that Evan could come with me even though he is only 15 months. It should be interesting, but I think (or hope) it will be fine. We have all had to dedicate our time to nursery, right :).
Anyways, we had a great time with my parents. On Friday night they took my Grandma Bones and Dave to dinner at Scott's Restaurant. It was my Grandma's birthday so Scott treated them very well and even made grandam a Birthday Cake. She had the time of her life. On Saturday my parents watched Evan so that Scott and I could actually go on a date. We went to lunch and the movie. It was nice to have a little free time since we never get to see each other. And I know Evan had a blast because he went to the park with G&G. On Sunday we took my parents up to Mt.Charleston. It was chilly, but beautiful with all the leaves changing colors. It's amazing how close we are to so many different landscapes. Well, I better go because this is already too long, but I had to recap the wonderful time we had with my sweet parents.

6 quirky things

1. Yes, I still bite my nails, but only during movies. That might be more gross than quirky.

2. I don't believe in having a lot of friends because I want to keep the friends I have close.

3. I am a freak about having things match, especially clothing. My poor son is not always matching because his dad dresses him. Scott isn't always sure what things go together.

4. I am afraid to sleep next to windows, in fear that someone is going to come in. (I know its silly, I have had this problem since I was little.)

5. I always feel like I need to have hot food for lunch and dinner. Maybe because it makes me feel like I ate a real meal.

6. I get a kick out of tickling Evan. I think its so funny because he is sooooo ticklish. I know I hated it when my dad tickled us, but i just have to do it to Evan. The things that parents do.

Summer Vacation

So our summer has been very busy. I have traveled all over with Evan this summer and I think he is glad to be home. We went to Lake Powell for a week with Scott's family, then I took Evan to Arizona for a week to see my siblings. After that we drove home to California with my parents. We stayed a week with them and did lots of fun things, which included having Evans first birthday party. We went home for a couple of days and then flew to Salt Lake and drove to Idaho for a family reunion. Once we got home from Idaho we all flew to Puerto Rico for a week. We spent a nice relaxing fun filled vacation with all of my family except for Jeremy and Camille. (We missed you guys) Then to top it all off we just went to CA last weekend for my sister Julie's wedding. WOW what a summer, I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a while.

Finally I have done it

Finally I have done it. I was motivated to make our blog after viewing so many friends for hours last night. I have been saying for the last year that I would start a blog. I guess the saying "better late than never" is a good one. I will try my best to update but I can't promise anything. I am a very busy lady and I know this can sometimes feel like homework and believe me I know about homework. I know some peoples are really fancy and fun with quotes from their kids and lots of fun pictures and videos, but I am going to try to just stay simple and keep up with posts and bear with me if me Grammar is not always correct. (Camille I do really love your page. What a great idea to document your kids memorable phrases.) Well on a more positive note I am thrilled to have started and hope that you all enjoy viewing our blog.
